The Harris Center for Mental Health & IDD focuses on transforming the lives of people with behavioral health and IDD needs. Our vision is to empower people with behavioral health and IDD needs to improve their lives through an accessible, integrated and comprehensive recovery-oriented system of care.
The Harris Center for Mental Health & IDD will focus on Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Week for the entire month of May. We will hold various activities each week, including a health/wellness fair. We will also offer tool kits for our families and children. Because superheroes use tools to accomplish their great feats, tool kits will be handed out to individuals in services that visit our clinics. These tool kits will include wellness tools to try out and have on hand if needed. They include self-care items, such as stress balls, a hope box, information on wellness, art and crafts and so much more. We will also showcase our “Hero’s Gallery” with art, drawings and poetry from those that we serve. These are just a few of the many exciting activities and events that will occur in celebration of Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Week 2022.
